Held in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, from July 24 to August 8, 2026, the XXV Central American and Caribbean Games <\/a>brought together more than 6,000 athletes from 37 countries and territories across 46 official competition venues.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Covering a multi-sport event of this scale required more than capturing the action at each venue. Remote competition feeds had to reach a central production operation, mobile teams needed to contribute interviews from the field, and finished programs had to be delivered to multiple television channels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Panorama Media Group, a Dominican media group with operations spanning print, radio and television, was part of the Games’ official broadcast network. Working with JGD Multiverse, SRL, Panorama turned to Kiloview to connect remote video contribution, centralized production and program delivery, helping bring the action and stories of Santo Domingo 2026 to television audiences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tackling the Challenges of Remote Sports Production<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

For Panorama’s coverage of Santo Domingo 2026, the main challenge was bringing remote video sources into an existing SDI production environment while supporting mobile reporting and delivery to multiple television channels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • Bringing 10 Remote Feeds into Centralized Production<\/strong>: Ten incoming SRT feeds needed to be received and managed at the Juan Pablo Duarte Olympic Center, where two production positions handled monitoring and live production.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Integrating Remote IP Video with Existing SDI Systems<\/strong>: The production team needed to make remote IP video sources available to its SDI-based production switchers without replacing the existing setup.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Supporting Mobile Interviews from Competition Venues<\/strong>: Interviews with athletes and coaches added another dimension to the Games’ coverage. These mobile feeds needed to reach the production center and be incorporated alongside the main competition signals.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Delivering Programs to Four TV Channels with Backup<\/strong>: Finished programs had to reach VTV Canal 32, Coral 39, Teleantillas Channel 10 and CDN Sport Max. The setup also required a backup encoding path to provide an additional option for program output.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    How Kiloview Supported Panorama’s Broadcast Workflow<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    For the broadcast operation, Kiloview deployed video gateways, decoders, bonding encoders and KiloLink Server Pro to handle remote contribution, integrate IP video into the existing SDI setup and support program distribution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
