RF02-LC is a 2RU modular rack-mounted media management platform designed for professional users who already have network infrastructure and need to build or expand media processing capabilities on demand. A single chassis provides 16 independent functional card slots and a dedicated controller card slot, allowing flexible deployment of encoding, decoding, media gateway, and computing capabilities.

RF02-LC does not include an internal service network switching module. Each functional card connects independently to the user's existing or externally deployed Ethernet network. The controller card is optional. When installed, the built-in KiloLink Server provides centralized discovery, configuration, and management of the functional cards installed in the chassis.

1. Core Capabilities at Launch

① 2RU 16-Slot Modular Deployment，Provides 16 independent functional card slots and one dedicated controller card slot. The controller card does not occupy any functional card slot. Different card types can be mixed within the same chassis.

② Reuse of Existing Network Infrastructure，RF02-LC does not include an internal service network switch. Each network-enabled functional card connects independently to an external Ethernet switch, allowing users to plan switch ports, VLANs, bandwidth, uplink capacity, and network security according to project requirements.

③ Optional Controller Card & Centralized Management，The controller card is optional. Without it, functional cards can operate independently. Once installed, KiloLink Server runs on the controller card and provides centralized discovery, configuration, and management through a unified Web interface.

④ Local LCD Status Monitoring & Operation，The front panel features a 1.9-inch LCD and four physical buttons, which remain available with or without the controller card. Users can view card count, alarms, controller status, network and IP information, card IP addresses, temperature, and other basic operating information. Basic power control is also available for computing cards.

⑤ Mixed Functional Card Deployment，Supports compatible rack-mounted NDI/IP codec cards, decoding/multiview cards, media gateway cards, and computing cards within the same chassis.

⑥ Redundant Power Supply，Two hot-swappable redundant power supply modules are included, with a maximum power rating of 800 W per module.

3. Core Featured Functions

① Flexible Reuse of Existing Network Infrastructure，Functional cards connect independently to external network infrastructure, allowing users to plan network ports, VLANs, bandwidth, uplink capacity, and redundancy based on their existing environment.

② On-Demand Centralized Management，Functional cards can operate independently without a controller card. Centralized management can be added later by installing the controller card and using KiloLink Server.

③ High-Density Modular Deployment，The 2RU chassis accommodates up to 16 functional cards, reducing rack space, device count, and cabling complexity compared with deploying multiple standalone devices.

④ Local Status Monitoring，The front-panel LCD provides quick access to chassis, card, network, and alarm status without requiring Web access.

⑤ Serviceable Fan Design，Two removable fan modules with four fans in total provide active cooling and simplify card installation and maintenance.

⑥ Redundant Power Protection，Dual hot-swappable redundant power supplies improve system reliability for professional environments requiring continuous operation.

4. Notes for This Release

①Optional Controller Card: RF02-LC does not include a controller card by default. Without the controller card, functional cards can operate independently and the LCD remains available, but KiloLink Server centralized Web management is not provided.

②External Network Switch Required: RF02-LC does not include an internal service network switching module. Each network-enabled functional card must connect to an external Ethernet switch.

③Centralized Management Network Requirement: The controller card and managed functional cards must maintain Layer 2 connectivity and remain within the same Layer 2 broadcast domain, typically the same VLAN.
