Kiloview Connects Remote Feeds and SDI Production for Panorama’s Santo Domingo 2026 Coverage

Held in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, from July 24 to August 8, 2026, the XXV Central American and Caribbean Games brought together more than 6,000 athletes from 37 countries and territories across 46 official competition venues.

Covering a multi-sport event of this scale required more than capturing the action at each venue. Remote competition feeds had to reach a central production operation, mobile teams needed to contribute interviews from the field, and finished programs had to be delivered to multiple television channels.

Panorama Media Group, a Dominican media group with operations spanning print, radio and television, was part of the Games’ official broadcast network. Working with JGD Multiverse, SRL, Panorama turned to Kiloview to connect remote video contribution, centralized production and program delivery, helping bring the action and stories of Santo Domingo 2026 to television audiences.

Tackling the Challenges of Remote Sports Production

For Panorama’s coverage of Santo Domingo 2026, the main challenge was bringing remote video sources into an existing SDI production environment while supporting mobile reporting and delivery to multiple television channels.

• Bringing 10 Remote Feeds into Centralized Production: Ten incoming SRT feeds needed to be received and managed at the Juan Pablo Duarte Olympic Center, where two production positions handled monitoring and live production.
• Integrating Remote IP Video with Existing SDI Systems: The production team needed to make remote IP video sources available to its SDI-based production switchers without replacing the existing setup.
• Supporting Mobile Interviews from Competition Venues: Interviews with athletes and coaches added another dimension to the Games’ coverage. These mobile feeds needed to reach the production center and be incorporated alongside the main competition signals.
• Delivering Programs to Four TV Channels with Backup: Finished programs had to reach VTV Canal 32, Coral 39, Teleantillas Channel 10 and CDN Sport Max. The setup also required a backup encoding path to provide an additional option for program output.

How Kiloview Supported Panorama’s Broadcast Workflow

For the broadcast operation, Kiloview deployed video gateways, decoders, bonding encoders and KiloLink Server Pro to handle remote contribution, integrate IP video into the existing SDI setup and support program distribution.

• Bringing 10 Remote SRT Feeds into Centralized Production: Two Kiloview MG300 V2 gateways received 10 incoming SRT feeds at the Juan Pablo Duarte Olympic Center, with five feeds assigned to each unit. The gateways then forwarded the SRT streams to the D350 decoders, bringing video from different locations into the central production operation.
• Integrating IP Video into Existing SDI Production: Four Kiloview D350 decoders served two production positions, providing multiview monitoring and SDI outputs for the production switchers. This allowed Panorama to use remote IP video sources within its existing SDI production environment, without replacing the established infrastructure.
• Bringing Mobile Interviews into the Broadcast: Two Kiloview P3 encoders transmitted interviews with athletes and coaches from competition venues. Using KiloLink bonding technology, P3 can combine 4G/5G, Wi-Fi and Ethernet connections for mobile video transmission. KiloLink Server Pro received the interview feeds and forwarded them directly to the D350 decoders, allowing the production team to incorporate on-site interviews alongside competition footage.
• Delivering Live Programs to Four TV Channels with Backup: Two production-side Kiloview P3 encoders transmitted finished programs through KiloLink Server Pro for distribution to VTV Canal 32, Coral 39, Teleantillas Channel 10 and CDN Sport Max. Two Kiloview E3 encoders also received the production switcher output for backup encoding.

Bringing Remote Coverage into Panorama’s Existing Broadcast Operation

Kiloview supported Panorama’s Santo Domingo 2026 coverage by bringing remote competition feeds and mobile interviews into the production operation at the Juan Pablo Duarte Olympic Center, with finished programs delivered to four television channels.

Beyond the competitions themselves, interviews with athletes and coaches added on-site perspectives to the broadcast, extending the coverage beyond live competition footage.

A key outcome of the project was the ability to integrate remote IP video into Panorama’s existing SDI production setup. For broadcasters and production companies planning similar sports events, this offers a practical example of how to expand remote production capabilities while making use of established broadcast infrastructure.
