Huazhong Agricultural University (HZAU) is one of China’s leading universities, with a wide range of academic and event facilities, including lecture halls, auditoriums, student activity centers, and conference spaces. Each venue typically operated as an independent system, with dedicated signal connections, separate equipment, and on-site technical support requirements. Long-distance transmission often depended on SDI/HDMI baseband wiring or optical transmission solutions, which provided stable performance but lacked flexibility when new venues or new applications were added.

For HZAU’s technical team, the challenge was no longer simply transmitting video signals—it was creating a unified way to manage, share, and produce video content across the entire campus.The university selected Kiloview’s NDI®-based AV-over-IP solution to connect distributed video sources into a centralized campus workflow. For academic conferences, campus events, and live productions, HZAU moved production operations from individual venues into a centralized control environment.The Kiloview RF02 modular media platform acts as an important part of this workflow. Through flexible processing and I/O expansion, RF02 enables integration between IP video sources and existing production systems, including SDI-based switchers and monitoring equipment.

With centralized production, technical teams no longer need to deploy complete production setups at every event location. Instead, operators can manage multiple venues from one control room, improving efficiency while reducing operational complexity.

• Remote Monitoring and Device Management

As the number of connected devices increased, centralized operation and maintenance became essential.Through Kiloview’s KiloLink management platform, HZAU’s technical team can monitor device status, perform remote configuration, and simplify daily maintenance tasks across the campus.
